About the Role:

This role is for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience in computer vision/deep learning. Your role will include the generation of new geospatial products as well as providing solutions for specific client projects and integrate Machine Learning existing workflows.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and grow the company’s Machine Learning activities

  • Design and develop Machine Learning algorithms, workflows and pipelines to deliver automated feature extraction to create new products and solutions

  • Work closely with the technical and production teams to develop and introduce Machine Learning methodologies to existing workflows to improve efficiency

  • Contribute and support Bluesky’s R&D projects with Universities

  • Work with the sales team to understand client requirements to enable the development of innovative solutions

  • Document algorithms, and workflows for internal processes

  • Write technical reports and documents for external customers when required

  • Disseminate and communicate details and specifications of new products to relevant colleagues, technical and non-technical throughout the organisation

  • Further develop your own skills


  • Must be eligible to work in the UK and communicate fully in English

  • Educated to at least degree level in Computer Science/Programming or Machine Learning

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision or AI

  • Proficient in python

  • Proven experience of successful Machine Learning projects

  • Experience working with geospatial data is an advantage

  • High level of analytical and numerical skills

  • Commercial awareness

  • Ability to work to deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
